Live for Today

As I sat quietly during my prayer time. I heard the Spirit of God say "Live for today". I immediately thought of Matthew 6:34 - "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

I began to think, God is here with me now and He's already gone ahead into the future. (Actually, God isn't limited by time or space. He lives always in the present). He knows all things. He provides for each day's needs. He is faithful. I need not fret today, tomorrow or any day about anything.

Why waste time worrying about the future and miss out on today? Father God gives enough grace for each day's journey. He is all-sufficient.

I will enjoy today.

Prayer: Father, help me to live one day at a time—in Your Presence. In Jesus' Name. Amen
